STRUCTURAL CHANGE TOWARDS GENDER EQUALITY IN RESEARCH

Yellow Window is a partner and assumes the role of scientific coordinator in the project GE Academy (2019-2021). This project develops and implements a high-quality capacity-building programme on gender equality in research, innovation and higher education. It offers a variety of online and offline formats (training sessions, webinars, workshops, summer schools, DOCCs) on a wide range of topics.

YW is also involved in a feasibility study, named CASPER, to investigate the necessity of and options for a European award or certification system for gender equality in research organisations.

Since 2017, Yellow Window has been involved in the implementation of several Horizon 2020 so-called “structural change” projects in partnership with universities, research institutions and research funding organisations from 15 EU Member States. These projects aim at realising gender equality in research and academia through the development and implementation of Gender Equality Plans. Yellow Window provides technical support including capacity-building and training, coaching and advice, leveraging on the design expertise, to facilitate the institutional transformation process. For the project Equal-IST (2016-2019), YW acted as the independent monitoring and evaluation partner, assessing the partners’ Gender Equality Plans and the changes towards gender equality they achieved during the project’s lifetime.
